Helicopter (3D Model) Start.

Today I began modelling an AH-64 Apache helicopter for my final project using Maya 2016. This will be my most complex and highly detailed model. It will also take a while to model as this type of attack helicopter has many features and will need good detail to make it look like an actual Apache helicopter. This will be a modern style helicopter and animating features will include rotating rotors and and a moving machine gun under the front of the helicopter.

Turret (3D Model) Final - No Texture.

The screenshots below show the final turret model asset without textures in both wireframe and smooth mode. As you can see I made a lot of progress and I am very happy with the final model. My next stage of design will be to texture the asset to bring it to life and add another level of detail. I will then implement it into my final scene and begin animating the asset.

Turret (3D Model) In Progress.

This screenshot below shows my design progress at the halfway point of my first asset model. As you can see the model is coming along nicely, small details like the additional turret legs, wires and cables are all still yet to be added but I have the base design done. These small details should not take long and I should achieve a really good and detailed 3D model.

Turret (3D Model) Start.

Today I began modelling my turret asset for my final project and I will be using Maya 2016. This will be a futuristic style droid turret and animation features will include a height adjustable turret base, a 360 rotating turret head and a turret gun barrel that will move up and down.
